The People’s Republic of Bangladesh government has started a program to offer incentives on wage earners’ remittances sent by Bangladeshis living abroad. If you are a citizen of Bangladesh and send money home, you will be rewarded with incentives that are given in Bangladeshi Taka. This holds true for all payment options provided by Mutual Trust Bank Limited, including mobile wallet, cash pick-up, and bank transfers. Every transfer made by a citizen of Bangladesh using legitimate remittance channels will be eligible for the incentive.

Terms and Condition

  • Currently, the incentive is 2.5% of the principal amount.
  • Cash incentive is applicable to wage earners remittances only.
  • Cash incentive will be received by beneficiary only.
  • Both beneficiary and Sender must be an individual to receive incentive.
  • The sender must be a citizen of Bangladesh and having a valid work visa.
  • The sender must be gainfully employed overseas, but not paid by a government, or statutory, autonomous or semiautonomous body.
  • Freelancing, IT Support, Remote Employment, and similar type of jobs are not eligible for the 2.5% government cash incentive but they are eligible 4% cash incentive subject to completion of the regulatory requirement.
