Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aspire To Innovate (a2i) at a simple ceremony held at a2i’s head office, E-14/X, ICT Tower Agargaon, Dhaka 1207. Under the MoU, MTB in association with a2i will provide financial support for laptops for around 600,000 teachers of Teachers Portal with a view to facilitating seamless and smooth education service through digitization amongst the students and teachers during the ‘New Normal’ situation amidst the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to this, MTB, in association with the Union Digital Centres (UDCs), will facilitate SME and Agri loan amongst the eligible applicants. This MoU will enable MTB to collect various bills and fees using eKPay platform.
Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Additional Secretary and Project Director of a2i and Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO, MTB signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Among others, Syed Rafiqul Haq, Additional Managing Director & Chief Business Officer, Md. Shafquat Hossain, Head of SME & Retail Banking, Shyamol Boran Das, Chief Digital Officer, Sanjib Kumar Dey, Head of SME Banking, Khalid Hossin, Head of Digital Lending & Solutions, MTB were also present at the ceremony.
