Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has organized its 3rd Annual Risk Conference on October 14, 2023, in a hybrid format at Samson H Chowdhury Auditorium, MTB Tower, 111 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Dhaka. It is a part of MTB’s revived commitment to build a robust risk management culture and remain aligned with regulatory expectations. This year the theme of the Conference was “Risk to Resilience: Managing Risk in a Changing World”.
Zabdul Islam, Director, Department of Off-site Supervision-2, Bangladesh Bank, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest, and Mahmuda Haque, Joint Director, Department of Off-site Supervision-2, Bangladesh Bank as the Plenary Speaker.
The event was chaired by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB, hosted by Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director & Group Chief Risk Officer, co-hosted by Tahmina Zaman Khan, Deputy Head of Risk Management Division of MTB and attended by more than 300 participants including the bank’s Senior Management team, Branch Managers, Branch Operation Managers, Customer Service Officers and Executives related to managing risks at the Head Office.
MTB’s Annual Risk Conference 2023 aims to disseminate the importance of effective risk management across the bank in order to have a resilient growth of the Bank. The Bank’s senior management shared their experience on the prevailing, emergent risk management issues and outlook on the future landscape of risks. “We aim to foster a compliant and risk-aware environment where every individual will work together to identify and strive to manage risk at the right time with apt mitigation measures”, said Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mutual Trust Bank Limited.
