MTB Foundation supports Flood Victims of Feni Region

MTB Foundation, as a part of its proactive emergency response towards the underprivileged community, has recently distributed relief materials in addition to providing financial support for hiring boats & speedboats and supplying lifejackets for the flood victims of Feni region. With the situation worsening every moment, MTB Foundation believes that this timely intervention will bring about a significant improvement in the lives of the flood-affected people of Feni. The relief materials were handed over by Giash Uddin Ahmed, Regional Head, Branch Banking Division, Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer & Golam Rabbani, Associate, MTB Foundation.

A major fraction of the people affected by the devastating flood in the Eastern part of the country are from Feni where the floodwaters have submerged houses/buildings and infrastructure leading to damaged power lines, widespread power outages and disruption of all communication links in the Parshuram, Fulgazi, Sonagazi, Daganbhuiyan and Chhagalnaiya Upazilas.
