Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) arranged Branch Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer (BAMLCO) Conference on May 28, 2022 with a view to updating and creating awareness on key deliverables for Anti Money Laundering & Combating Financing of Terrorism (AML&CFT) compliance. More than 200 participants including BAMLCOs and Corporate Head Office executives were present in the conference. The conference was held at the Samson H. Chowdhury Auditorium, MTB Tower, 111 Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue, Dhaka 1000.
The event was graced by Md. Masud Biswas, Head of Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) as chief guest. At the same time, he also inaugurated the MTB AML&CFT Awareness Week 2022 by cutting a cake which entails a week-long program from May 28, 2022 to June 2, 2022 for celebrating 20 years of AML compliance in Bangladesh and creating awareness among MTB customers.
The conference was hosted by Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB. Muhammad Mohsin Hossaini, Additional Director and Md. Masud Rana, Additional Director of BFIU were present as guest speakers. Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director & GCRO, Goutam Prosad Das, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Group Internal Control & Compliance and Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Deputy Managing Director-Corporate & Commercial Business were also present at the conference as panellists. Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Anti Money Laundering Compliance Officer moderated the event.
