MTB Foundation recently signed an agreement with Quasem Foundation for the project titled ‘Eyesight Restoration Camps’. The objective of the affiliation is to access to basic eye care facilities by providing quality eye care services for the people of lower socio-economic and low-income communities in the remote rural areas of Rangpur Division. The Eyesight Restoration Camps will cover patient screening, provide basic healthcare services including eye screening, medicine supply, distribution of spectacles and conducting surgeries like cataract, pterygium, Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) and Dual-clutch Transmission (DCT). MTB Foundation, through this project, intends to support Sustainable Development Goal SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth).
The agreement was signed by Tasvir Ul Islam, General Secretary, Quasem Foundation and Samia Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer, MTB Foundation in the presence of Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO, Chowdhury Akhtar Asif, Additional Managing Director & GCRO, Md. Khalid Mahmood Khan, Additional Managing Director & CBO, Rais Uddin Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director & CAMLCO, Shafayat Ullah, Head of Group Legal Affairs Division, Sujan Barua, Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) and Mohammad Mamun Faruk, Divisional Head, Wholesale Banking Division 1 of Mutual Trust Bank PLC (MTB) at a simple ceremony held at the Bank’s Corporate Head Office, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212. Among others, A.B.M Atiqur Rahman, General Manager, Quasem Foundation and Golam Rabbani from MTB Foundation were also present during the event.
