MTB receives the 3rd Consecutive PCI DSS Certificate

Mutual Trust Bank Limited (MTB) has recently received compliance certification of Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Version 3.2.1 for the third year, a certificate which ensures security of card systems, from SISA Information Security – a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) company. MTB has achieved this prestigious compliance certification both in 2019 & 2020. This is the 3rd consecutive year, MTB has maintained the compliance and been recertified by Certification authority SISA. Software Shop Limited (SSL Wireless) – one of the leading IT security services providers in the country, acting as the local partner of SISA, has coordinated the procedural support for the certification process. Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of MTB received the certificate from Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, Group Advisor of Software Shop Limited (SSL Wireless) at a certificate handover ceremony held at MTB Centre, the bank’s Corporate Head Office, Gulshan 1, Dhaka 1212.

PCI DSS certification is considered as one of the most prestigious certificates for any compliant financial service providers in digital payment system. Achieving this compliance ensures that the cardholders’ data are highly protected in MTB system. MTB is one of the few banks that has achieved such high standard of security in Bangladesh.

Tarek Reaz Khan, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer (COO), Md. Shafquat Hossain, Head of SME & Retail Banking, Shyamol Boran Das, Chief Information & Digital Officer (CIDO), Amitav Kaiser, Head of Infrastructure Division, Md. Abu Bokar Siddik, Head of Cards, Jhantu Gomes, Head of Card Operations Department, Azam Khan, Head of Communications Department and Md. Rabiul Alam, Head of Alternate Delivery Channel (ADC) of MTB and Reazul Islam, Chief Executive Officer, Shahzada M. Redwan, Chief Technical Officer & Mohiuddin Tawfik, Head of Banking & Financial Services of SSL Wireless along with other senior officials from all the concerned organizations were present at the ceremony.
